Affiliates
The Wrentham Recreation Department partners with In-Town User Groups to provide a wide range of athletic and recreational opportunities for the community. These organizations are recognized as the primary providers for their respective sports and receive priority access to the Rice Complex and Sweatt Field.
Current In-Town User Groups:
- Wrentham Youth Baseball and Softball (WYBSA): Providing comprehensive baseball and softball programs at Sweatt Fields and the Rice Complex, focusing on teamwork and fundamentals for players of all skill levels.
- King Philip Soccer Association Youth Soccer (KPYS Youth): Offering both recreational and competitive travel leagues to engage local youth in active, team-oriented play within the tri-town community.
- King Philip Youth Lacrosse: Serving the local community by providing boys and girls with the opportunity to learn and compete in lacrosse, emphasizing player growth and competitive spirit.
- Barbarians Youth Rugby: A 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to teaching rugby fundamentals to boys and girls from kindergarten through high school. Based at the Rice Complex, the club offers co-ed flag rugby for younger children and contact teams for older players, focusing on the core values of safety, teamwork, and respect.
- Warrior Youth Field Hockey: A 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to growing the game of field hockey for Wrentham girls.
These partnerships ensure that Wrentham’s fields and facilities remain vibrant hubs of activity that serve the specific needs of local families.
