Sweatt Beach 2023

Sweatt Beach is located at 5 Woolford Rd just off of Rte 140 in Wrentham, MA. A hidden gem, the beach has undergone several renovations in the last few years, thanks in part to various Eagle Scout projects by local Boy Scouts and new fencing purchased with monies from the Sweatt Fund.

Open daily from June 10th 2023 through August 27th 2023, weather permitting.  The beach hours are 10AM-7PM.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NEW REGULATIONS FOR 2023 - SWEATT BEACH IS OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF WRENTHAM, NORFOLK, PLAINVILLE, AND FRANKLIN ONLY.  PROOF OF RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED PER VEHICLE (VALID LICENSE OR PAPER UTILITY BILL SHOWING NAME AND ADDRESS) FOR ENTRANCE TO THE BEACH.  

PATRONS OF EMS AND USERS OF THE KAYAK PATH DO NOT NEED TO MEET THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS BUT MUST PAY THE ENTRANCE FEE.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1.  There is no parking allowed on Woolford Rd at any time.  If the parking lots become full entrance to the beach will be closed until space becomes available.

2.  There is no grilling allowed - the grills have been removed and no outside grills are to be brought in.
3.  NO personal kayaks, paddle boards, canoes or other vessels may be launched or beached inside the fenced area - all vessels must be launched and beached from the kayak path.  ONLY vessels rented through EMS are allowed inside the fenced area.
4.  NO inflatable toys, inflatable swim aids, pool noodles, boogie boards are allowed.  Swim goggles are allowed but NO masks(covering the nose), snorkels, fins are allowed.  Coast Guard approved life vests and "puddle jumpers" are allowed.
5.  NO Alcohol is allowed on any town property, including Sweatt Beach, at any time.
6.  NO smoking/vaping is allowed inside the fenced area.

Sweatt Beach

The beach is a public beach open daily 10AM to 7PM weather permitting.  Daily fees are $7 for adults and $5 for children.  Children age 2 and under are free.  Wrentham residents 60+ are free.  Daily fees are payable with cash or card.  Wrentham residents may purchase a family pass for $250 which is good for the entire season.  Passes must be purchased online on this site after creating a family account.  The passes are listed under the membership tab.

Sweatt Beach Kayak Access Path
A path was created as an Eagle Scout project for public access to Lake Pearl to launch unmotorized personal watercraft.  Anyone choosing to use this path during beach hours will be required to pay the daily entrance fee (CASH ONLY) of $7 for adults and $5 for children (children under 2yrs. are free).  Personal watercraft can only be launched and removed at the access path, and must not be left unattended.


EMS Schools - Kayak/Paddleboard Rentals at Sweatt Beach
EMS Schools is proud to announce it's rental location for kayaking and paddle boarding.  Located along the calm shores of Lake Pearl in Wrentham, Sweatt Beach is a great spot for swimming and paddling.  Kayak and paddleboard rentals are open seven days a week starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and kayaks and paddleboards are available for any size paddler.  Rentals are first come first serve and include paddle and PFD.  No experience is needed to participate and no reservations are required!

You are required to pay the daily beach fee ($7 for adults; $5 for children over 2 yrs of age).
