Youth Rugby Program - Fall 2024
The Wrentham Youth Rugby program is for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade in all surrounding towns in MA/RI. Registration for the fall season is now open. Rugby is the ultimate team sport and kids of all ages will enjoy learning the game even if they have never seen a rugby ball before. Kindergarten through 6th grade play flag rugby with tackling being introduced in the 7th grade.
There will be two sessions this fall:
1) K through 6th grade will practice from 9/8 through 10/27. Practices are Sunday mornings at the William Rice Complex from 9am - 10:30am for 3-6, and 9am -10am for K-2
2) 7th-12th grade will practice from 9/26 through 11/24 with Sunday practices at the William Rice Complex from 10am-12pm, and Thursday practices at Sweatt fields from 5:30-7pm.
We plan on having our annual Halloween Touch Rugby Tournament on Sunday 10/27 at the Rice Complex.
Our coaching staff has completed USA Rugby Level 200 certification and promote Safety as Rule #1. Players are required to wear a mouth guard and should wear what they would normally wear for soccer.
Registration for the fall training sessions is $110 for all ages
