Program participants are encouraged to run the distance and pace with which they are comfortable, according to their individualized training plan, but there will be ample opportunity to join other runners for motivation, encouragement, and camaraderie. ChiRunning is the technique-based instruction that has been missing in your running experience. Wrentham is lucky to have one of the small number of Master ChiRunning Instructors in the world. Coach Marc has taught 100’s of runners how to move their bodies the way they were designed - with efficiency and flow - allowing for “effortless”, injury-free running. Usually at least $150, participation in Coach Marc’s Introduction to ChiRunning Workshop is free this summer for Wrentham Runners Club members. Open to the first 15 people that register. MOONWACKER ALL-NIGHT TRAIL RACE 2026 - Moonwacker All-Night Trail Race 2026
MOONWACKER ALL-NIGHT TRAIL RACE The Moonwacker is an all-night trail race at the Rice Complex on the night of the full moon on June 27, 2026. The course is a 2-mile grass trail loop of mostly flat terrain with a few hills and windy turns. The race will start at sunset and finish at sunrise. Participants can either enter as a team(any size),, or as a solo competitor(1 person only). For teams, only one runner runs at a time. The team and solo entries running the most laps by the time the sun comes up wins! The race duration is 8 hours and 44 minutes, so it's possible winners might cover 45 miles or more. If it is a quick passing shower/thunderstorm we will house the children temporarily in the Recreation building until it is safe to return outside. If we need to be inside all day due to weather, an email will be sent by 8AM to let you know, and will also be posted on the website. Coach Marc has taught 100’s of runners how to move their bodies the way they were designed - with efficiency and flow - allowing for “effortless”, injury-free running. The Rice Complex location gives us a covered patio, bathrooms, use of the D'Amico Playground, basketball courts, volleyball court, and lots of field space to run and hike. There will be games, sports, arts and crafts, water games, quiet activities and more! This year we will have space at the Wrentham Elementary Schools in the Roderick School library if it is raining. If it begins to rain during the camp day and is not likely to stop, we will transport the children by bus to the school. If it is a quick passing shower/thunderstorm we will house the children temporarily in the Recreation building until it is safe to return outside. If we need to be inside all day due to weather, an email will be sent by 8AM to let you know, and will also be posted on the website.
